Why group classes work

Learning is better together.

Group classes give children a welcoming place to build skills, confidence and independence while learning alongside others at a similar stage.

🤝

Social motivation

Classmates encourage one another and make weekly learning feel energetic, connected and fun.

👂

Listening and teamwork

Students learn to listen, take turns, follow shared instructions and contribute as part of a group.

🌱

A comfortable first step

Small classes offer an accessible introduction before a family decides whether private lessons are the next step.

🎨

Creative confidence

Students can share ideas, learn from different approaches and feel proud of creating alongside their peers.

🎪

Performance opportunities

Music students can build confidence through SYNERGY performance experiences alongside other academy students.

🔀

Room to grow

Students can continue in groups or move into private lessons when individual goals call for more focused support.

Choosing the right fit

Group or private lessons?

Both can be excellent choices. The best starting point depends on your child's personality, goals and learning style.

👥 Group classes may be best for…

  • Beginners exploring music or art for the first time
  • Children who enjoy social, collaborative settings
  • Families looking for an affordable introduction
  • Students who are comfortable progressing with a shared class goal

👤 Private lessons may be best for…

  • Students who benefit from individual attention
  • Those working toward exams, auditions or specific goals
  • Students who prefer to move at their own pace
  • Anyone ready for more personalized repertoire or instruction

Questions

Before you book.

Is my child's place confirmed when I submit the form?

Not quite. Your request is sent to our team, who will confirm that a space is available and call you to arrange payment. Registration is complete after that confirmation.

What happens when a class is full?

We will add your student to the class waitlist if you gave permission on the form. We may also suggest another suitable day, time or academy location.

Which piano level should I choose?

Choose 1A for no previous piano experience, 1B after completing 1A, and 1C for later beginners and students currently in Levels 2–3. If you are unsure, submit the closest choice and we will help with placement.

Are art age ranges strict?

They are placement guidelines, not absolute cutoffs. Select the closest age group and add a note if you would like us to consider another class.

Are books and supplies included?

No. Piano is $189 for 10 classes plus books. Art is $125 for 10 classes plus supplies. Our team can explain the additional materials when confirming your registration.

Can a group student move into private lessons?

Yes. Students can transition to private lessons when they are ready for more individual attention, a different pace or specific goals. Our team can help your family decide when the time is right.

Do music students have performance opportunities?

Yes. Performance opportunities are part of the broader SYNERGY experience. The opportunities available depend on the program and season, and our team can explain what is planned for your student's class.
