SYNERGY's guitar classes are specially tailored for each individual student. We have multiple Brampton music studios that offer in-person guitar lessons as well as online guitar lessons that can be taken from anywhere in the world!

SYNERGY guitar teachers preferred curriculum for young beginner guitar classes is Guitar for the Small Fry. This fun and interactive series guides younger children through their guitar lessons age appropriate pieces and technique. Repertoire and etudes paired with our Synergy Method theory book are designed to engage young guitarists.

The Alfred's guitar books are used in our guitar classes to take beginner students through the foundational techniques and tools to succeed. Guitar lessons will teach you learn to confidently read and understand sheet music and tabs while also focusing on proper posture and performance etiquette.

Our Hal Leonard method books are a favourite among our guitar teachers. They provide adult learners tools to start playing more complex pieces faster in their guitar classes while also studying how to confidently read music. Theory lessons are incorporated into guitar lessons. Students can also request additional repertoire to learn outside of method books.

SYNERGY guitar teachers are all highly experienced in teaching the RCM curriculum and preparing for exams. Technique, ear training and sight-reading are all included in guitar lessons. Group theory lessons are available conveniently before or after guitar classes or online to get started on the co-requisite theory requirements early.
Music Theory Lessons
Why Study Theory?
Our guitar program is one of few in Brampton and the GTA that includes your theory class back to back with your guitar lessons. Join us in the studio or online for an additional 30 minutes for as low as $12!
Why study theory? Not only is this a compulsory requirement in the RCM curriculum starting in level 5, it supports your learning and understanding of the music you're playing in your guitar classes. We break the music down to help you read notes, rhythm & identify harmony with confidence.
Lesson Structure
Our most popular program is our one hour guitar lessons starting at only $43.75, which includes a 30 minute private guitar lesson and a group theory class. A proven successful approach that includes theory in a different setting, specially designed for students with A.D.D. and other needs. Synergy is one of the few Brampton music academies that offer music theory as part of the regular lesson!
Private Guitar Lessons
Our guitar lessons are available Mon-Sat for beginner to advanced. We also offer a $12 add-on that is a dedicated music theory class. Theory provides a strong foundation in note-reading, rhythm, analysis & technique to support students' progress whether they choose to play 'just-for-fun' or move through programs like the Royal Conservatory of Music.

Theory Lessons

Group Guitar Lessons
This program is available for guitar, voice and piano. Suitable for beginner students. Our music teachers provide students with an introduction to playing and reading music. Fun games, new friends! If you're interested in a short term program or an introduction to the instrument without the commitment, this program if for you. Classes are designed for ages 5-8 and 9-13.

History & Harmony Lessons
Study theory at all levels, including RCM harmony level 9, 10 and ARCT online or in-studio.
Our history courses include visual, audio, and exam prep support for RCM 9, 10 and ARCT. We use a customized, tested curriculum with easy to follow worksheets to make the material easy to understand.
Recitals
Student social interaction with others who share their passion is facilitated through events such as music games day, composition, picture day, performance opportunities and more in addition to their regular guitar classes. Synergy offers multiple opportunities throughout the year for students to perform in the Brampton area: our Annual Concert, SynergyFest and Festival of Stars.
Exams
The aim of our guitar program is to grow an appreciation and love of music and performance while furthering our students’ knowledge of proper technique and skill. All of our music teachers aim for excellence. We encourage students of all levels to participate in regular exams in addition to their regular guitar lessons. Choose from the standard RCM program and work towards Brampton high school credits and a diploma, or a just-for-fun program specially designed for each student.
Accompanists
Need an accompanist?
Synergy senior students and teachers are available to accompany you on piano for your exams, auditions and performances. Contact us well in advance with scheduling, location and sheet music details. Included with your fee is rehearsal time, travel to and from the location for our pianist as well as the time it takes them to prepare for your audition. Contact us for more information.
